The National Museum of African-American History and Culture is full of “Brown Girl Radiance.”  One of the treasures featured at the museum is Ava Duvernay’s genius film “August 28: A Day in the Life of a People.”  This film presents a unique narrative of American history that perfectly compliments this wondrous museum filled with stories of resilience, brilliance, excellence and strength.

I met so many amazing people and I was inspired by the overall experience.  I did a superfun interview with an international example of “Brown Girl Radiance.”  We discussed sisterhood, food as a love language, the great donut debate, and the 2019 NBA Champions, the Toronto Raptors.

The celebration of the “Women of Wakanda” continues!  This episode features a panel of five women discussing the dimensions of beauty presented through the fashion, personal style and beauty of Okoye, Nakia, Shuri, and Queen Ramonda.  This conversation explores current and future beauty standards for women of color.

During this inaugural season we will celebrate the “Women of Wakanda” from the “Black Panther” movie.  We will discuss the transcendent ideals of womanhood presented in Wakanda.  This first episode features female panelists sharing their definition of the mantra “Wakanda Forever” as well as their perspectives on what it means to be a “woman of Wakanda.”
