“Brown Girl Radiance” celebrates the brilliance of women of color through reflective conversations and stories.
The first season of “Brown Girl Radiance” was a celebration of the “women of Wakanda” from the “Black Panther” movie! We discussed the standard of beauty that was displayed by the beautiful “women of Wakanda.” We also explored the diverse themes of womanhood and transcendent gender-related ideals presented in Wakanda and their implications and inspiration for current gender roles and relationships.
“Brown Girl Radiance” Podcast will continue to focus on celebrating women of color who are influencing paradigms in our culture with their brilliance.
The host, “Pure Brown Joy” will talk to extraordinary women of color from diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, and professions. She will interview women at every aspect of the spectrum: missionaries, congresswomen, professors, scientists, CEOs, singers, dancers, authors, doctors, directors, pastors, entrepreneurs, etc.
There are an infinite number of reasons to applaud women of color. We intend to give Black women a voice through allowing them to share their stories and experiences on a platform where they can offer insight about their journey and inspire others with their passion.
